Releases that are ''not'' Duplicates
Status: NeedsIntertwingling
There are some cases where two different releases have very similar tracklists. In these cases, which are not DuplicateReleases, we don't want to merge the release entries in the MusicBrainz database. The purpose of this page is to record these cases, to prevent moderators from repeatedly attempting incorrect merges, and (perhaps someday) to allow these known cases to be suppressed from the DuplicateReleasesReport. (For the MoreDuplicateArtistsReport, there is also a list of NotDuplicateArtists.)
Please note: There is another list collecting VirtualDuplicateReleases which represent different script versions of a released release. They should not be listed here!
It is also a good idea to add ReleaseAnnotations to the releases in questions that explain why they are not duplicates and also link to this Wiki page for updating.
Entries should be sorted alphabetically by ReleaseTitle, and for each set of similar releases that are not the same, there should be a bullet point for the first (in sort order) release, with the other release(s) appearing as sub-bullet entries (which should also be sorted alphabetically).
Both types of bullet points should have a link to the MusicBrainz release page. Inline comments should be part of the bullet points, after the release link. A blank line before each new bullet (but not sub-bullet) improves readability.
