Edit Track Name (title)

This EditType changes the title of a Track notes .

The Edit link to the right of a track title on a release page (or other pages where release details are displayed) takes you to a page where you can edit the track's title (EditTrackNameEdit) or number (EditTrackNumberEdit).
The Edit all link below the release's name on a release page (or other pages where release details are displayed) takes you to a page where you can edit the release's title (EditReleaseNameEdit) and/or attributes (EditReleaseAttributesEdit), as well as the title (EditTrackNameEdit) and number (EditTrackNumberEdit) of any or all tracks on the release.
On releases by VariousArtists, the Change link below the track artist name takes you to a page where you can edit the track title (EditTrackNameEdit) and/or change the track artist (ChangeTrackArtistEdit) for that track.
- You can also get to that page as part of a conversion to a VariousArtists release; if you check the "Move tracks to new artists" box on the page to which the Convert to multiple artists link takes you, you will be taken to the Change pages for each track on the release in turn.

Guidelines

DontSwapNamesBetweenTracks:
- If the tracks on an release seem to be in the wrong order, use the EditTrackNumberEdit, do not use the EditTrackNameEdit.

When voting on an edit that adds or removes performance information (feat. Artist) from a track, check for a corresponding ChangeTrackArtistEdit to make sure that this information is not lost or duplicated.

If the only change to the title was case and/or accents. the change will be instantly applied (no voting required; this is an AutoEdit).

An EditTrackNameEdit will fail due to a FailedPrerequisite if another EditTrackNameEdit changes the name.

An EditTrackNameEdit will fail due to a FailedDependency if the release containing the track is deleted by a RemoveReleaseEdit or a RemoveReleasesEdit or merged into another release by a MergeReleasesEdit. It will also fail due to a FailedDependency if the track is deleted by a RemoveTrackEdit.
