Duplicate Releases and Artist Suggestions Reports

Moderation Suggestions reports: DuplicateReleasesReport and MoreDuplicateArtistsReport.
2004-10-25; The data for these reports wasn't updated since June 2004, but a recent
weblog entry indicates that it is once again being updated.
Both of these reports are suggestions, not lists of confirmed duplicates. Moderators should evaluate them as such, and when using the (very convenient) "Merge into this" links, they should always check discographies (in the artist report) for plausibility, or track times (in the release report) for significant differences (>5 seconds).
Nonetheless, these are very useful reports, and the accuracy rate is surprisingly high for an automated process. If you find false positives (i.e. artists or releases that are incorrectly reported as duplicates) please add them to NotDuplicateReleases or NotDuplicateArtists respectively; Wendell will try to suppress them from future reports, and use the data to further improve their accuracy.
