Description

Advanced relationships used to indicate musical relationships involving artists. The relationship types in this class should identify such details as musical collaborations or membership in bands. They should not be used to indicate personal relationships between artists, such as membership in the same family.

This specifies that an artist collaborated on a project.

Member of Band Relationship Type
This indicates membership of a person artist in a group artist.

Artist is/was a member of Artist

Performance Name Relationship Type
This links an artist's performance name (a stage name or alias) with that artist's legal name.

Artist is a performance name for the person Artist
Artist performs as Artist

Supporting Musician Relationship Type
This links supporting artists to the artists for whom they played, on an album and/or in a live band.

Tribute Relationship Type
This links a release group, typically by multiple artists, to an artist, to indicate that it is a tribute album.
