Grave Digger (German classic/speed metal band)

~ Group

Annotation

Grave Digger are one of the early German Accept-derived classic/speed metal bands, along with Running Wild, Helloween, Sinner, Cutty Sark, and Rage. The only original member who is still in the band is vocalist Chris Boltendahl.

After three albums, Grave Digger decided to change their name into Digger and commercialized their sound. Chris Boltendahl later admitted that their main motivation for this change was to make more money. This failed and the band split up, but re-united in the early '90s under the old name Grave Digger.
