Richard Beddow is an Ivor Novello Award nominated composer and sound designer, actively working in the entertainment industry since 1998. Classically trained as a musician, fused with a sound engineering background, Richard not only turns his hand to sound or music projects with fluency but leads audio projects to deliver the bigger picture.

Richard’s journey into the world of Sound & Music began at an early age inspired and fascinated by the films, TV and video games that dominated the early to mid-1980’s. He followed a traditional route in music, completing ABSRM and Guildhall music exams leading on to completing a Degree in Music at Kingston University, London England. Receiving a classical schooling in both composition and sound engineering, no sooner was his education complete Richard began working as a professional sound designer and composer for highly respected video game developer Criterion Studios in Guildford UK, where he remained for a number of years cutting his teeth on his first Dreamcast and PC projects.

Richard firmly established himself as a solid sound designer and composer working across numerous areas of the industry including Film, Production Music, TV and Video Games during which time he’s had the pleasure of working on projects for huge industry names such as BMG / Universal, Namco, Sega and the BBC. To date, his material can be heard on numerous video games, TV, radio and film productions.
