WIP 2023: There are at least TWO and more likely THREE orchestras here. Looks like a name being also reused by budget labels.

The original "London Studio Orchestra". Which is real. UK orchestra, known mostly for scoring TV and motion picture soundtracks. Conducted by Laurie Johnson and Dick Bakker, amongst others. Sometimes listed as The London Studio Symphony Orchestra.

Another one appears in the 2000s as "The London Studio Orchestra" recording Strings at Abbey Road Studio for artists like Adele, Suzanne Vega, Hard-Fi and others.

Not to be confused with the separate "Studio London Orchestra conducted by Nicky North" which recorded a single set of Western film covers. Name usually quoted in that order with Nicky North attached.

For releases on the Laser label, you have the Ed Starink using an alias of The Studio London Orchestra as one of his many names. Mostly James Bond covers and Xmas tracks.

It also looks as if the Ed Starlink may often reissue the Nicky North recordings on his own label one as there are many many acoustIDs in common...

Spotify is now also using a version of this orchestra's name. At least one of those releases are actually Hollywood Star Orchestra recordings rebadged. Is it a coincidence that those were originally on a Dutch label? (It is a good example of how Spotify can often be pretty bad at splitting artists with a common name apart)
