LaB LIFe

~ Group

Annotation

Comprised of two members, Ooya Yuusuke and Odate Kenichi, LaB LIFe is alternative pop at its best. Fusing lively pop songs with a mix of electronica and experimental elements they provide a refreshing sound to the listener while still maintaining the catchiness pop music provides. They released two full length albums, the first Planet Headphone in 1998, featuring the singles Stereo, Electric and Home Room.
While their second and last album was released in 1999, titled World's End with World Wide Love Song and Sky Love been plucked out as the singles.
A lesser known mini album was released in 1997, and is actually their first official release. The title of it loosely translates as Flower Of The Dining Table and it consists of five tracks.

It seems as quickly as they came, they were gone. With their albums now been out of print and a real challenge to get hold of, with most selling for four or five times their original value. While they're mostly forgotten now they provided a lively and exciting collection of music in their short lifespan. LaB LIFe's sound still lasts the test of time, with all their work sounding as unique today as it did many years ago.
