Big Time Rush (also known as BTR) is an American pop/rock quartet created by Nickelodeon, signed a record deal in 2009, and made famous by the American television series, Big Time Rush. The band consists of four real-life best friends: Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr. and Logan Henderson. In 2010, The band were nominated for "Favorite International Band" at the Australian Kids Choice Awards, and the results are still not known. Big Time Rush worked with Jordin Sparks to produce a song called "Count on You", which appears on their debut album "BTR".

Since the cancellation of the show, they have released two EPs, (Holiday Bundle & Big Time Movie Soundtrack) as well as three studio albums, BTR, Elevate & 24/Seven) with all three of these albums having charted in more than 21 countries individually, (with the exception of 24/Seven as it charted in more than 30 countries globally) and were all certified Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum in many countries selling millions of copies in the US and worldwide. During their career, they have won many prestigious and popular music awards, including Ten Kid's Choice Awards, Five Bravo Otto Awards, Two Popstar Magazine Music Awards, One Popcrush Music Award in 2012, along with many others. In 2014, Big Time Rush won their very first World Music Award for "World's Best Live Act Performer" at the 22nd Annual World Music Awards. As of 2012, their net worth, collectively, was estimated to be around $22.8 million dollars. They have headlined over five US/world tours, performing in many well known sold-out arena & stadium concerts over the past 5 years to over millions of fans and concert goers. Big Time Rush was also voted the best boy band in the world in 2012 with over 800,000 votes cast for Parade Magazine's first ever "Boy Band Smackdown" sponsored by Wetpaint Entertainment and in the process beat fellow popular bands One Direction and The Wanted. They are the only boy band to have three number one singles on the Malaysian radio singles chart. As of 2014 Big Time Rush has sold more than 21 Million records Worldwide making them one of the best selling music groups of all time and one of the best selling music groups of the 21st Century.
