"Up to 1997 in the musical circles was known as ZyZ. in 1997 it organized group Ruff Engine, which became one of first techstep associations to Russia. In 1999 left the first album of group - Face Off. In 2001 on label Total Advance Music, one of the organizers and ideological inspirers of which is ZyZ, left the second album Ruff Engine - Drum'n'Bass Addiction. After disintegration Ruff Enfine, ZyZ it studied solo creation under pseudonym Ruffen. In 2002 of beginnings actively to collaborate with Dissident. Together they became the pioneers of the wave of Russian techno of dram'n'beysa. Ruffen assumed participation in all significant events to Drum'n'Bass to the scene of Saint Petersburg, among which All-Russian Drum'n'Bass convention 2001 and 2002, the first official party of English drum&bass label DSCI4 in Saint Petersburg with participation Sta&.Paul B and Black Sun Empire, the first international drum'n'bass festival in the anniversary with participation Goldie and Technical Itch. In this year of their trek Fuji and Last DNA Donor they left on promising American label Fear Red Records."
