Lisa Nicole Lopes (May 27, 1971 – April 25, 2002), better known by her stage name, Left Eye, was an American rapper, dancer, and singer-songwriter. She is best known as a member of the R&B/hip-hop group TLC. Lopes contributed her self-written raps to many of TLC's hit singles, including "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg", "What About Your Friends", "Hat 2 da Back", "No Scrubs", "Waterfalls", and "Girl Talk". Lopes won four Grammy Awards for her work with TLC.
