Ritchie Valens

~ Person

Annotation

Ritchie Valens died on February 3, 1959 in the plane crash that also claimed the lives of Buddy Holly and J.P. Richardson (The Big Bopper). Ritchie has had an extended posthumous career that is arguably deserved because of the originality of his work and the efforts of his manager and mentor Bob Keene, the founder of the record label DEL-FI.
