Biography

Lee started his career with Roy Eldridge (1946), followed by a two years stunt into a military formation.
Back in New York, he played with Coleman Hawkins, Jay Jay Johnson, Eddie Heywood, then Andy Kirk (1949) with his brother.
Eventually seen with Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis (1950), Illinois Jacquet (1951-1952), Wynton Kelly (1951), Oscar Pettiford (1952-1953), Al Haig, and Duke Jordan (1954), he then gradually disappeared from the scene during the 60s.
