RCA Victor Symphony Orchestra was also the credit given to Symphony of the Air, the ensemble created during the autumn of 1954 from former members of the disbanded NBC Symphony Orchestra, on the Victory at Sea album series. In the early 1960s the orchestra was disbanded when RCA moved much of its recording activity to Europe and established the Orchestra della RCA Italiana (aka RCA Italiana Orchestra).
