Raised on a healthy diet of electronic music by his older siblings ranging from acid house, hardcore and jungle Midland first found solace in the arms of the faster world of drum and bass. After a summer spent wandering across spain on foot he came back and began experimenting at much slower tempos. This experimentation soon became his occupation as he settled in to the groove anywhere between 120-135bpm. A firm believer that genres really are just made up to try and box people in he aims to create a homogenous sound that people from different musical persuasions can appreciate. With music released on Aus Music, forthcoming with Phonica and other projects in the pipeline Midland is certainly a name to look out for in the future.
