John Meed is a singer-songwriter, originally from Lancashire and now based in Cambridge, whose songwriting has been compared to that of Al Stewart, Leonard Cohen and Richard Thompson. His performances are characterised by his rapport with the audience and his sense of humour and are moving, thought-provoking and funny. He has supported Waterson Carthy, Megson, The Willows, Joe Solo and Graham Robins, and plays in folk and acoustic clubs around Cambridge and across the country. He has released five albums – Children of the sea, Powder of the stars, When the music ends, Pavilion Parade, The dust of time and The Hills of Arran.
