Cold Chisel, a rock and roll band, produced the canonical example of Australian pub rock, with a string of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Featuring the songwriting of Don Walker, the guitar of Ian Moss and the screaming vocals of Scottish immigrant Jimmy Barnes.

Cold Chisel is a rock band that originated in Adelaide, Australia. It had chart success from the late 70s up until their most recent album releases since 2011, with nine albums making the Australian top ten. Its success and acclaim was almost completely restricted to Australia and New Zealand.
