Albert Ayler's younger brother, Donald (often called Don) long lived in his brother's shadow, performing only in his band, with the exception of a rare couple of live tracks from 1969.
After Albert's mysterious death in 1970, Don almost put his carreer to an end.
He eventually reemerged in 1981 with a triple LP live session in Europe, the only known recording under his own name.
Don Ayler is a very interesting under-rated trumpetist, and has been a privileged witness of one of the most fascinating jazz period.
